The archive of the former Institute of Anthropology is constituted by a vast set of documentation.
Made up of more than 20,000 documents, this archive includes textual, graphic and photographic documentation resulting from scientific activities that have been undertaken since the beginning of the 20th century.
Some of the works worth highlighting are those carried out by Mendes Correia, Rui de Serpa Pinto, and Agostinho Farinha Isidoro.
During this restructuring phase of the MHNC-UP, the treatment and conservation of this collection is being prioritised. This will help to ensure that it is available both to the public and to support research and academic projects.
