- Primeiro Ciclo of the Ensino Básico (Years 1 to 4)
- Segundo Ciclo of the Ensino Básico (Years 5 and 6)
- Terceiro Ciclo of the Ensino Básico (Years 7 to 9)
- Secondary School (Years 10 to 12)
- Technological or Professional Education
- Senior teaching or training
- University students
Other groups (for instance, private groups, companies, social centers or cultural associations)
Duration of the tour
The duration of visits to the Hall of Biodiversity –Ciência Viva Centre, to the Botanical Garden of Porto and to the temporary exhibitions in each of these units and in the MHNC-UP’s Core Pole varies based on the type of booking. It can range from 45 minutes (minimum) to 2 hours (maximum) in each of the mentioned units.

Organization of groups
So as to guarantee better efficiency in the management of the visit and occupation of the space, we try and make sure each group does not go over 20 members. If a class has more than 20 students, the class is then divided into two groups.
Types of visit
- Free visit (available upon booking, and the tour is managed and led by the accompanying teacher/person in charge)
- Guided tour (available upon booking, and the tour is managed and led by the MHNC-UP’s team)
