De 17 a 30 de maio de 2025, o MHNC-UP acolhe, na Estufa Aberta do Jardim Botânico da U.Porto, DELONGA DIA – Performance Instalação, uma criação de Ana Luena & José Miguel Soares. Da performance, que estreará no dia 17 de maio de 2025, às 16h00, resultará RASTO, uma instalação que poderá ser visitada no mesmo espaço até 30 de maio de 2025.
SINOPSE
A ritualização da espera, que acontece na relação com os ritmos sazonais, é um elemento central no desenvolvimento de DELONGA – um ato de espera, remetendo-nos para a ideia de ciclo e da sua relação com a criação artística. DELONGA desenvolve-se ao longo das 4 estações do ano a partir da figura ficcionada de um Fotógrafo-jardineiro, num processo de tempo dilatado onde se constrói um diário – textual, imagético e sonoro – cujos materiais alimentam outras criações híbridas que se apresentam ao vivo em site-specific. Criam-se performances-instalações em lugares cuja arquitetura se relaciona de forma distinta com elementos naturais.
As performances-instalação resultam da apropriação e reconfiguração das inscrições dos diferentes artistas no diário, numa lógica colaborativa interdisciplinar de contaminação e estética relacional. A performance é simultaneamente a montagem em tempo real da instalação cujo rasto permanece enquanto memória e esquecimento. O primeiro andamento culmina na apresentação de DELONGA DIA, com a proximidade do solstício de verão, altura em que a luz se sobrepõe ao tempo da escuridão.
O processo de DELONGA DIA, iniciou-se com uma residência que aconteceu no Centro de Arte e Cultura da FEA, e que juntou Ana Luena & José Miguel Soares, Filipa Leal, Sofia Berberan e Tomás de Almeida, para a conceptualização do DIÁRIO, na qual se determinou o modo como decorreram as contribuições e criações do diário, cujos materiais alimentam a Performance Instalação DELONGA DIA, que se apresenta na Estufa Aberta do Jardim Botânico da Universidade Porto. As entradas e partilhas dos artistas aconteceram no tempo da ação do Diário de DELONGA DIA, de 29 Janeiro (1.ª Lua Nova do ano; início do novo ano Chinês) a 13 de Abril de 2025 (1.ª Lua Cheia da Primavera).

DELONGA DIA – an act of waiting

From May 17 to 30, 2025, the MHNC-UP will host DELONGA DIA – an act of waiting, a creation by Ana Luena & José Miguel Soares, in the Open Greenhouse of the Botanical Garden of the University of Porto. The performance, which will premiere on May 17, 2025 at 16h00, will result in RASTO, an installation that can be visited in the same space until May 30, 2025.
SUMMARY
The ritualisation of waiting, which unfolds in relation to seasonal rhythms, is a central element in the development of DELONGA – an act of waiting, evoking the idea of cycles and their connection to artistic creation. Developed across the four seasons, the piece revolves around the fictional figure of a Photographer-Gardener, in a process of expanded time during which a diary is created – textual, visual, and sonic. These materials give rise to other hybrid creations, presented live in site-specific settings.
Each performance-installation is crafted in spaces whose architecture engages uniquely with natural elements. They emerge through the appropriation and reconfiguration of the artists’ entries in the diary, in an interdisciplinary, collaborative process of contamination and relational aesthetics. The performance is simultaneously the real-time assembly of the installation, whose trace remains as memory and oblivion. This first movement culminates in the presentation of DELONGA DIA, as the summer solstice nears – a time when light prevails over darkness.
The entries and contributions of the various artists took place during the timeframe of DELONGA DIA’s Diary, from january 29 (the first New Moon of the year; beginning of the Chinese New Year) to april 13, 2025 (the first Full Moon of Spring).
