13.10 – 06.11.2022 // Galeria da Biodiversidade – Centro Ciência Viva
De 13 de outubro a 6 de novembro, a Galeria da Biodiversidade – Centro Ciência Viva acolhe a exposição imagens mínimas, promovida pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto e pelo i2ADS – Instituto de Investigação em Arte, Design e Sociedade em parceria com a Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.
O Projeto Curatorial imagens mínimas resulta de mais uma parceria curatorial e editorial entre a Universidade do Porto e a Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Após o sucesso de elements.camp (2015) e Éter (2017-18, com o desdobramento editorial, a Revista Éter de Arte Contemporânea), uma nova demanda criativa é proposta em 2018 a Artistas Contemporâneos atuantes no arco cultural desses dois países e com vínculos de formação e atuação com estas duas importantes instituições de ensino superior.
O Projeto imagens mínimas ambiciona estabelecer a convergência criativo-produtiva de docentes, doutores-doutorandos, mestres-mestrandos, graduados-graduandos e artistas da sociedade civil. Muitos dos nomes aqui apresentados já não se encontram dentro da categoria da primeira exposição apresentada na galeria do centro histórico da Universidade Mackenzie em 2019. No entanto, as demandas de pesquisa criativa – em poéticas visuais ou processos e procedimentos artísticos – são envolvidas, aqui, com questões da ciência do olhar, através de elementares dispositivos óticos que, pelas suas características físicas e imagéticas, deverão provocar atenção aos estados de perceção e fruição de imagens artísticas.

From October 13 to November 6, the Hall of Biodiversity – Ciência Viva Center hosts the exhibition minimal images, promoted by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and by i2ADS – Research Institute in Art, Design and Society in partnership with Mackenzie Presbyterian University.
The Curatorial Project minimal images is the outcome of another fruitful curatorial and editorial partnership between the University of Porto and the Mackenzie Presbyterian University. Following the success of elements.camp (2015) and Éter (2017-18, with the editorial division, the journal Revista Éter de Arte Contemporânea, a new creative demand is proposal in 2018 to Contemporary Artists acting in the cultural arc of both countries and with training and performance links to these two important higher education institutions.
The minimal images Project aims to establish a creative-productive convergence of teachers, doctorates-doctorate students, masters-masters students, graduates-graduate students and artists of the civil society. Many of the names represented are already outside the category of the first exhibition presented in the gallery of the historical center of the Mackenzie University in 2019. However, the demands for creative research – in visual poetics or artistic processes and procedures – are encased, herein, with questions pertaining to the science of the gaze, through basic optical devices which, due to their physical and imagery features, should provoke attention to states of perception and fruition of artistic images.
