POLO CENTRAL DO MHNC-UP (À CORDOARIA)
A Universidade do Porto, em parceria com a Embaixada do Peru em Portugal, apresenta, de 30 de março a 28 de maio de 2023, no Polo Central do MHNC-UP, a exposição Qhapaq Ñan: o grande caminho Inca.
Esta exposição, que integra material fotográfico e audiovisual, pretende dar a conhecer ao público algumas das particularidades do Caminho Inca.
O Qhapaq Ñan, além de ser um espaço arquitetónico especial, conta com uma grande diversidade histórica, cultural, humana e geográfica. É composto por várias rotas de caminhada e é uma das criações humanas mais importantes do mundo andino, permitindo ligar cidades de diferentes regiões. Mais de 500 anos após a sua construção, este Caminho ainda se mantém ativo para muitos povos que continuam a utilizá-lo para comunicar e salvaguardar os seus conhecimentos ancestrais através da transmissão entre gerações.
Atualmente, o Peru, através do seu Ministério da Cultura e do seu Ministério de Relações Exteriores, bem como do Projeto Qhapaq Ñan – Sede Nacional, continua a manter viva toda a história e valor cultura deste tão relevante património.

From March 30 to May 28, 2023, the University of Porto, in collaboration with the Embassy of Peru in Portugal, presents, at the Central Pole of the MHNC-UP, the exhibition Qhapaq Ñan: the great Inca path.
This exhibition, which includes photographic and audiovisual material, with various information, aims to call attention to some of the special features of the Inca Trail.
Besides being a special architectural space, Qhapaq Ñan, has a great historical, cultural, human, and geographic diversity. It comprises several walking routes and is one of the most important human creations in the Andean world, enabling the connection of cities from different regions. More than 500 years after its construction, this Path is still active for many of those who continue to use it to communicate and safeguard their ancestral knowledge by spreading it across generations.
Nowadays, through its Ministry of Culture and its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Qhapaq Ñan Project – National Headquarters, Peru keeps alive and promotes all the history and cultural value of this very important heritage.
